Gender identity and sexual orientation are complex aspects of human identity. This study explores the intricate interplay between sexual identity, sexual orientation, and social role behaviors, with a focus on the transgender experience. It delves into how an individual's perception and acknowledgment of their body and gender may lead to discomfort and gender dysphoria when it does not align with societal expectations and their own self-awareness. The study examines the journey of transsexual individuals who identify with a gender different from the one assigned at birth and their desire to have primary and secondary characteristics of the opposite gender.
