This study delves into the motivations of student entrepreneurs starting their own businesses and investigates the comparative appeal of informal, self-owned, and partnered enterprises versus traditional 9-to-5 employment. Focusing on New Mexico State University's University Business Incubator (NMSU-UBI), this research offers insights valuable for business incubators worldwide. The data, gathered from Studio G's client intake and interviews, reveals the underlying factors driving student entrepreneurs. The findings hold significance for policymakers, economists, new business incubators, and accelerators keen on emulating Studio G's strategies to foster entrepreneurship
