Aims & Scope

An interdisciplinary outlet for current research and innovation across the sciences and beyond.

The Current Research and Innovations Journal is a multidisciplinary outlet for timely, high-quality research that crosses traditional boundaries. We publish original studies, reviews, and innovation reports from the natural, applied, health, and social sciences, with a particular interest in work that connects disciplines to address complex problems.

Our scope is deliberately broad — spanning science and technology, engineering and computing, health and life sciences, and the social and management studies that shape how innovations are adopted. We welcome research that introduces new methods, reports significant empirical findings, or synthesises evidence in ways that open fresh directions, including emerging and interdisciplinary fields not well served by specialist journals.

Every submission is judged on originality, methodological quality, and the clarity and significance of its contribution, regardless of discipline. By publishing open access, the journal aims to accelerate the exchange of ideas across fields and communities, giving researchers a venue where innovative, boundary-crossing work can reach a wide and diverse audience quickly.

Because our remit is broad, we welcome original research, innovation reports, and integrative reviews from any discipline, provided the contribution is clear and the methods are sound. Interdisciplinary and emerging-field work that struggles to find a home elsewhere is actively encouraged. Published open access, the journal connects researchers and practitioners across communities, helping novel, boundary-crossing ideas reach a wide audience and spark collaboration quickly.
