Manuscript Formatting Guidelines
To ensure consistency and facilitate the peer review process, please follow these formatting guidelines when preparing your manuscript for submission to Columbia Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities.
General Formatting
Language
Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English (British or American)
File Format
Submit as Microsoft Word (.docx) or PDF format
Font & Spacing
Use 12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced throughout
Margins
1-inch (2.5 cm) margins on all sides
Manuscript Structure
Title Page
Include: Title, author names and affiliations, corresponding author contact, running title, keywords
Abstract
Structured abstract (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion) - 250-300 words
Main Text
Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion
References
Vancouver style, numbered consecutively
Figures & Tables
- Figures should be high-resolution (300 DPI minimum)
- Acceptable formats: JPEG, TIFF, PNG, EPS
- Tables should be editable (not images)
- All figures and tables must be cited in text
- Include legends and captions
