This paper investigates the complex relationship between climate change, environmental degradation, resource conflicts, and social inequalities in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. By analyzing focus group discussions, a literature review, and other data sources, the study underscores the significance of understanding local experiences and perspectives in building adaptive capacity, resilience, and peace in the region. The findings indicate that traditional knowledge and practices can offer valuable solutions to climate change and security challenges, while highlighting the marginalization of women and youth in decision-making processes. The research further emphasizes the potential of community-driven initiatives to enhance adaptive capacity and resilience, noting that such initiatives can play a crucial role in addressing the region's challenges. The study concludes by advocating for participatory and democratic governance approaches to address the root causes of resource conflicts and environmental degradation. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the interconnected challenges in the Niger Delta, proposing that fostering resilience and peace requires a holistic, inclusive approach that draws upon local knowledge, empowers marginalized groups, and promotes democratic governance
