Aims & Scope
Research on public policy and administration for effective, accountable governance.
The Public Policy and Administration Studies Journal publishes research on how governments and public institutions make decisions, deliver services, and remain accountable to citizens. Our scope spans public policy analysis, public administration and management, governance, and the institutions through which the public sector operates.
We welcome studies on policy design, implementation, and evaluation, public-sector reform and management, intergovernmental and local governance, public finance and accountability, and the ethics and transparency essential to good government. Both quantitative evaluations and qualitative, comparative, and case-based research are within scope, particularly work relevant to developing and transitional states.
Each manuscript is assessed for analytical rigour, policy relevance, and the credibility of its evidence. Through open access the journal aims to inform scholars, administrators, and policymakers, strengthening the link between research and practice. By advancing understanding of how policies are formed and administered, we seek to support governance that is more effective, equitable, transparent, and responsive to the public it serves.
We welcome original empirical research, policy analyses, programme evaluations, comparative and case-based studies, and reflective commentaries on administrative practice. Methodological rigour and clear policy relevance are essential. Through open access, the journal serves scholars, public administrators, and policymakers, strengthening the connection between research and practice and advancing governance that is effective, accountable, transparent, and genuinely responsive to citizens, especially in developing and reforming states.
