The Pharmacology, Alternative Medicine, and Healthcare Journal publishes research that spans conventional pharmacology and complementary approaches to health. Our scope ranges from drug action, development, and safety to the study of herbal, natural, and integrative therapies and their place in modern healthcare.

We welcome work in clinical and experimental pharmacology, pharmacotherapy and toxicology, natural-product chemistry and phytotherapy, and the evidence base for complementary and alternative medicine. Studies that rigorously evaluate efficacy, mechanism, and safety, and that consider how traditional and conventional practices can be integrated responsibly, are especially valued.

Each submission is assessed for scientific rigour, clinical and public-health relevance, and ethical conduct, with careful attention to the quality of evidence behind therapeutic claims. By publishing open access, the journal seeks to inform pharmacologists, clinicians, and researchers in complementary medicine, supporting safe, effective, and patient-centred care that draws thoughtfully on the full spectrum of therapeutic options.

Contributions may include experimental and clinical pharmacology, studies of natural products and complementary therapies, toxicology and safety research, and rigorous reviews. We require evidence proportionate to the therapeutic claims being made.
