THE INFLUENCE OF STAKEHOLDER RELATIONS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF BANK DHOFAR: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY
This study examines the role of stakeholder management in enhancing organizational performance within profit-oriented business organizations. Modern organizations engage in various business activities aimed at achieving financial performance, market competitiveness, and increased stakeholder value. These activities naturally lead to continuous interactions with key stakeholders such as consumers, employees, investors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. The study highlights that effective stakeholder relationships are essential for sustaining long-term organizational success and operational efficiency.
The concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is also explored as a multidimensional framework through which organizations acknowledge and manage the impact of their actions and inactions on stakeholders. CSR emphasizes ethical responsibility and accountability, ensuring that organizational decisions align with societal expectations. In addition, regulatory compliance plays a significant role in shaping organizational performance, as adherence to statutory requirements and monitoring by regulatory bodies influence operational outcomes and corporate reputation.
Furthermore, the study emphasizes stakeholder management as a critical component of strategic management. Effective stakeholder engagement enables organizations to maintain their social license to operate, especially in a business environment where consumers are increasingly conscious of ethical practices and environmental sustainability. The growing awareness among stakeholders has made it necessary for organizations to align their strategies with stakeholder expectations to ensure long-term sustainability and competitiveness.
The study concludes that successful organizations are those that integrate stakeholder management into their strategic decision-making processes. By fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and adhering to CSR principles, organizations can improve performance outcomes, enhance trust, and achieve sustainable growth in an increasingly competitive business environment.
