Publication Fees & Article Processing Charges (APCs)
To ensure our commitment to an open access model, Columbia Journal of Engineering and Technology uses a fee structure known as an Article Processing Charge (APC). This charge is levied to cover the essential costs of publishing, including but not limited to:
- Editorial and Peer Review Management: Administering the rigorous peer review process.
- Professional Production: Copyediting, typesetting, and formatting of the final article.
- Online Hosting and Archiving: Maintaining the article on our website and in permanent archives.
- Marketing and Dissemination: Promoting the published research to ensure maximum visibility and impact.
The APC is paid once a manuscript is accepted for publication, not upon submission. This ensures that the decision to publish is based solely on the quality and scientific merit of the work.
We believe that financial barriers should not prevent excellent research from being published. Therefore, we offer waivers and discounts for authors from low-income countries or those who demonstrate financial hardship. For specific details on current fees, waiver applications, or discounts, please contact our administrative team.
