The Oncology Journal is dedicated to research that advances the understanding, detection, and treatment of cancer. We publish across the full translational continuum, from the molecular and genetic basis of malignancy and the biology of the tumor microenvironment to clinical trials of new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.

Within scope are cancer cell biology and genomics, tumor immunology, clinical and surgical oncology, radiation and medical oncology, imaging and diagnostics, and the targeted and immunotherapies reshaping modern treatment. We also welcome epidemiological studies, work on survivorship and supportive care, and research addressing disparities in cancer outcomes.

Every submission is reviewed for scientific rigour, clinical relevance, and ethical conduct, with particular attention to robust study design and transparent reporting of results. Through open access the journal seeks to speed the translation of laboratory discovery into better outcomes for patients, serving cancer biologists, oncologists, and the multidisciplinary teams who care for people living with cancer.

We accept original laboratory and clinical research, translational studies, clinical-trial reports, and authoritative reviews, as well as concise communications on significant findings. Robust design, transparent reporting, and ethical conduct are required of every submission. Available open access without delay, the journal serves cancer biologists, clinical and surgical oncologists, and the multidisciplinary teams whose shared goal is to turn discovery into longer, better lives for patients.
