Abstract
<p>This dissertation conducts an in-depth systematic literature review to explore the multifaceted factors influencing prostate cancer screening uptake among African American men. The study examines healthcare system-associated factors, including access to healthcare, insurance coverage, and systemic mistrust. The review highlights the urgent need for targeted, culturally sensitive interventions and systemic reforms to enhance screening participation and address health outcomes disparities in African American men. By integrating evidence-based insights, the research proposes a comprehensive approach aimed at improving prostate cancer screening rates and reducing health disparities in this demographic</p>
