THE INTERPLAY OF TEACHER MORALE AND CONFLICT IN PUBLIC PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN ELDORET MUNICIPALITY
Abstract
<p>Conflict is an inherent aspect of social dynamics within organizations, serving as a fundamental process that cannot be entirely eradicated. Interpersonal conflict, stemming from the interdependence among individuals and tasks within an organizational framework, poses significant challenges, including diminished staff morale, decreased productivity, and employee turnover. Understanding the nature of conflict and its various manifestations is crucial for effective management and resolution. Bell (2002) identifies five distinct categories of difficult employees who exacerbate conflicts: attention seekers, control players, concealers, innovative malcontents, and revengers. This paper examines the impact of interpersonal conflict in organizations and explores strategies for identifying and managing difficult employees to mitigate conflict and enhance organizational effectiveness</p>
